Because hip hop developed into a worldwide phenomenon, people of all races have developed an interest

Justification of The Dataset Project Samples †MyAssignmenthelp.com

Question: Discuss about the Justification of The Dataset. Answer: My deliverables In this group project I have contributed by structuring different parts namely introduction, objectives of the project of my own while for some other parts like justification of the dataset and discussion of the dashboard with my team member Shravan. As this work needs extensive data collection and collating the same to reach the coveted inference, the part of data collection and collating the same for making the dashboard demands team work which I and Shravan had taken care. The graphical presentation of the collected data had been done by us to make the presentation more interesting, informative and eye-catching. (University, 2017) My value addition As this job is assigned to contribute in learning outcome, the learning outcomes will be contributed to my knowledge through group effort. There are two components of LO will be added to my knowledge- Unit Learning Outcome (ULO3) and Graduate Learning outcome (GLO7). This project is based on Watson Analytics Tool which is equipped to find out the learning of the lessons between the lines with the probable prediction of the dangerous elements of the environment through the data set hosen for this consideration. Watson Analytics Tools has the capacity to provide the best possible way to infer with the discussion. I have learnt the basics of this tool and applied the same to contribute in the assignment. My contributory parts of introduction and objectives of this assignment are done on the basis of the collection of data which can direct this assignment towards its coveted destination of inference. Introduction is required to make the reader understand for what purpose this assignment is made and through which tools the justification of input will be justified with the coveted destination of drawing the inference. To make the assignment more focused, the objective of the paper is to be mentioned with the key points of deliverance with subsequent desired level of results to assess the success of the assignment. My contribution towards justification of the dataset is the pillar of this assignment as the same had made foundation of the assignment with my part of contribution to the field of discussion of the created dataset. These parts had contributed to this assignment in order to make the reader understand the grimness of the situation with the effect of different dangerous emissions to affect the air of the world like CO2, Methane etc, and provide the role of alternative energy in the daily human life.(IBM, 2016) Challenges faced by me Watson Analytics tool is vast and its proper application is really challenging. This IBM tools to justify the skills of analysis is most modern technique which can derive the worth of the analysis with particular outcome of the project. Moreover the dataset collection is also challenging because we have to consider different dataset for different zone and time frame to collate them for final inference to be drawn. X Factors This assignment is made considering different dataset and thus it becomes time taking. Main criterion to consider the dataset is to find the data of three parameters- zone, time and the results derived from this analysis. Hence, committed effort with application of mind was needed to complete this assignment. With our team, the same had been taken care with professional efficiency.(Friedrich Lindenberg, 2015) Self Learning This assignment demands critical analysis of dataset gathered through Watson Analytics skill. Through this assignment I am able to learn team work as well as personal expertise on the tool used for analysis. This job is related to environmental pollution and dataset is to be organized for the completion of assignment with positive inference. Main objective of this assignment is to find out the impact of different factors which are doing harm to the environment in the form of emission of different gases along with the implication of alternative energy to replace the conventional energy sources. All these factors are to be considered while preparing for the dataset and collating through the process of Watson Analytics skills. The dashboards are presented for pictorial presentation which can contribute to the assignment with the ready to understand situation for the dataset collected and collated for this assignment. For this assignment everybody of the team had contributed and my perso nal knowledge grew by learning Watson Analytics system and the skill for collating to this assignment the dataset to form the dashboards. The outcome of Watson Analytics Skills applied to this assignment has produced different images by producing four analytics made for four different properties of the dataset, considered for this assignment. Main factors considered for this purpose are pollution of air, emission of CO2, use of conventional energy of electricity and its access for the zones selected and the provision of non conventional energy to replace conventional energy. Contribution of my Peers This group assignment demands contribution of every member-either individually or collectively. For the entire assignment, I have made justification of dataset and discussion of the dashboard with Shravan. As these are the pillars of this assignment, my peers contribution is significant to conclude the assignment with proper inference. Puneet had taken charge of preparing Dashboard 4 and benefits of predictive and social analysis of the dataset analysis with conclusion for this assignment. The teammates had given equal efforts for this assignment with their sincerity, diligence and professionalism as this assignment demands such efforts from the preparers of the project. Valentine by carol ann duffy free essay sample

Carol Ann Duffy uses an extended metaphor effectively throughout the poem. She uses an onion as a symbol of love. Right from the beginning Duffy rejects the traditional presents given for Valentine’s Day straight away to show she does not approve of the usual gifts and believes love means more than the superficial presents normally given. â€Å"Not a red rose or a satin heart. † This quotation begins the poem allowing the reader to understand the poem not to be about the usual aspects of love. It gives her honest opinion about the good and the bad. In addition, it begins with a negative word, ‘not’ showing her strength of feeling. The onion is the main subject throughout the poem. Duffy describes it as â€Å"a moon wrapped in brown paper. † This metaphor is symbolic of love. The onion skin is like the wrapping paper of a present and the moon is symbolic as it gives off light, like love. We will write a custom essay sample on Valentine by carol ann duffy or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page The white represents good things and has annotations of light, hope and happiness. The quotation â€Å"It will blind you with tears† connects the way onions make you cry with the negative aspects of love. She knows love has its bad points, in a relationship lovers can hurt one another and things can go wrong. Furthermore, during the quotation â€Å"It will make your reflection a wobbling photo of grief†, Duffy uses a transferred epithet here to create the effect of the feeling being in the photo rather than the person. The word ‘wobbling’ represents the action made by tears caused by unstable relationships that may collapse because of negative aspects, this relates back to her thoughts that being in love has it’s down side too. Honesty from the poet is a theme throughout the poem. She uses lines which let the reader know her feelings about love and the way she wants to tell the truth about it. â€Å"I am trying to be truthful† shows she is being honest about how things can go. â€Å"Not a cute card or kissogram†, again Duffy rejects the traditional ideas of love letting the reader know they are not appropriate for what she is trying to say. â€Å"For as long as we are† gives a realistic view that love may not be forever. â€Å"Take it†, Duffy uses a direct statement here, as if she will not take no for an answer. It is almost as though she is forcing her lover to take the onion which she believes represents true love. â€Å"Its platinum loops shrink to a wedding ring,† in this quotation Duffy connects the shape of the rings in an onion to the shape of wedding rings. She tells the reader effectively here that love can last forever if you are committed and faithful. However, she follows with â€Å"if you like† allowing us to realise love can go that far if you want it to, showing there is no pressure there, it is up to you if you try. â€Å"Lethal† is a single word used in the next line. The word lethal can be connected with poison and things that are deadly, also it can connect with the words fatal and death which could connect to the fact love can last until you die. The idea of ‘lethal’ is carried on through to the next line connecting to the scent of an onion. â€Å"Its scent will cling to your fingers† is the use of personification, describing how the strong smell of an onion stays around like the poet hopes love or a partner will. The final line uses repetition of the word â€Å"cling†. â€Å"Cling to your knife†, this quotation is like a desperate hope that if you hold onto love it will never leave you. The use of the word â€Å"knife† in the final line is like the poet telling you that you can get hurt like someone stabbing you in the back, or also that you can even hurt someone in love, you have the power. In conclusion, the use of direct statements and an extended metaphor convey the way Carol Ann Duffy feels about love in â€Å"Valentine†. Throughout the poem she rejects the traditional aspects of love with strong feelings of how she perceives it. Successfully throughout, the reader gets to understand her ideas of the true meanings of love and was memorable for me because of this.

What Does Your Name Mean - Genealogy

What Does Your Name Mean - Genealogy Could someone named Biff ever be president? Could a Gertrude ever become a prima ballerina? Does your name really play an integral part in who you are and what you will become? Can changing ones name common practice with many immigrant families actually change ones destiny? The hidden meaning of names is a popular query on Internet search engines as people hope to learn what their name says about them and who they will become. Different than traditional name meanings found in baby name lists and last name meaning dictionaries, the hidden meaning of a name is more akin to astrology or fortune telling than true etymological science. With some exceptions, most sources which reference the hidden meanings of names appear to use a variation on research known as sound symbolism, which attributes meanings to individual sounds based on their emotional response. So what exactly is sound symbolism? The traditional view of most linguists is that word meanings are related to morphemes (roots, suffixes, prefixes, etc.). There are a few, however, who place great faith in the theory of sound symbolism, suggesting that the letters of the alphabet individual sounds such as p or st actually mean something based on how they are pronounced. Sound symbolism, in its basic form, suggests that letter meanings influence how we feel about words and how we react to names, whether personal names or brand names. As one such individual, Joseph Gilbert, explains it, look at the words that start with st. Whether steadfast or just plain stubborn, theyre almost all really stuck in one place (stop, stick, stand, stall, stoic, store, stack, still...), unless of course theres a raring, rearing, roaring r in there who can get your st started. Curious, of course, I checked out the hidden meaning in my name. Entering my first name, I was told Your name says that you are curious. People with your name are naturally curious and inquisitive. You are a true researcher and investigator who likes to get to the bottom of complicated things, and find solutions to yet unsolved problems. Of course, trying many possible combinations, I also was unable to find a meaning that was not positive and also was given meanings for names which are, essentially, concocted gibberish. Either way, it was a fun exercise in linguistics. If youre curious about the meanings behind the individual letter sounds, check out the hidden meaning in your name. Numerologist Joy Light also claims to be able to find the hidden meaning in your name by using the numbers which correspond with the letters in your name. By adding all of the numbers in your name together, you arrive at a number that represents your destiny, or what it is in this lifetime you want to accomplish. A hidden meaning behind your name. Hmm..... I wonder how much I have in common with the other Kimberly Powells of the world?

Discuss the significance an dramatic purposes of Lodovico (Othello) Essay

Discuss the significance an dramatic purposes of Lodovico (Othello) - Essay Example The play revolves around the following main characters. Othello- who is the Moor, Desdemona-wife to Othello and Brabantio daughter, lago -ensign to Othello and husband to Emilia, Cassio-lieutenant to Othello and Brabantio, who a venetian senator and Desdemona’s father as well as brother to Gratiano. Lodovico is a minor character. He is a kinsman to Brabantio and a cousin to Desdemona. Below is a discussion on the significance and dramatic importance of Lodovico as a character in Othello. The other minor characters in the play are Duke of Vernice, Clown, Montano and Gratiano. Despite being a minor character, Lodovico’s role cannot be dismissed. Lodovico’s main role is found in scene 1 Act IV. In the novel, Lodovico appears for the first time as Cyprus manager from the Duke of Venice in Act IV, scene one. After enquiring about the situation on the island, he witnesses the striking of Desdemona by her husband Othello. He asks the rhetorical question, whether that was the noble person that every one regarded as sufficient for all. (IV. i. 265-266). Since he is an impartial observer, his statement emphasizes the dramatic transference that Othello has gone under suffering in lago’s spell. In the play, Lodovico acts as a Brabantio’s kinsmen. Brabantio is the father to Desdemona’s. He witnesses Othello’s jealousy. This is evident when Desdemona says she has â€Å"love for Cassio†. When Othello hears that, he interprets that his wife means that she is involved romantically with Cassio. Othello’s wife only means that she was deeply concerned with Cassio, and there was no romance involved. Lodovico also serves as a witness to Othello’s actions when Othello Desdemona is hit by Othello in the eyes of Lodovico. This makes Lodovico doubt Othello’s sanity and behavior. In addition, Lodovico witnesses Othello’s arrest when it was realized that he had murdered Desdemona. Lodovico having no idea of lago’s intentions, thinks that Othello is

World View on Religion Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1250 words

World View on Religion - Essay Example Looking back on this I am curious as to why my parents would just stop participating, which in turn meant my siblings and I stopped participating in the church. I feel that this exposure to the church early in my life planted the seeds for the morals and values I can proudly say I have today. However as the expanse of time sense we left the church grew; I slowly started questioning the church and its members more and more. Slowly growing more disenfranchised until my tipping point in 2008 while deployed on board the USS Los Angeles. My early years were shaped by my parents teaching me the difference between right and wrong and how I should face the world little steps at a time. This is where I feel that religion has played a vital role. As a Catholic the concept of good is founded upon the teachings of Jesus Christ and of course the Bible. The Gospel plays an important function in this and how ideas that I correlate with my personal ethics are influenced. In this regard the idea of h eaven has played in my mind ever since. Jesus inspires us to be good to be worthy of the Kingdom of Heaven and most of what I know about this place came from the teachings of the church and mass media’s portrayal of it. In order for any good Catholic to achieve this, one must live virtuous life. I was told to do good to others and in one proverbial Catholic maxim: when someone throws you stones, throw bread in return. Correlatively, ‘Be good to thy neighbors’ immediately comes to mind. These are just some of the things that I have carried with me from childhood and I have always thought that they shape how I live and conduct myself to others. Without knowing what ethics is or understanding what it means including all its various types, this is what I know. The Ten Commandments is a fundamental fragment of the Catholic religion which differentiates it among others. From a time of lawlessness and chaos, God has sent to Moses His commandments to the people encapsula ted in ten short sentences. When I was a child, this is the first set of laws that I came across with. My days attending Sunday school was my first taste of beginning to comprehend what following rules meant. Slowly as I grow older these rules vary and complicate and how every person deals with it differs concurrently. In retrospect I realize how basic these things are and how at the same time they are so terribly difficult for us to follow. It baffles me how something so archaic such as the Ten Commandments is relevant then to the same extent it is today without us realizing. What it contains is nothing out of the ordinary and any sensible ethical proposition has contained basically the same core ideas. ‘Honor thy God,’ ‘Do not covet thy neighbor’s wife’ and ‘Honor thy parents’ are just some of the imperative notions that finds its value beyond Catholicism. Religion is a way that helps parents in rearing their children and teaching them to be good people in the future. I think that the bible is one good parenting book to serve as guide in times of uncertainty. It defines what any parent would want their child’s perception to be. Religion, in most cases, determines how we dress, what holidays we celebrate, what books we read and sometimes what language we speak. Though it is a fundamental Constitutional right to choose one’s religion and to change it at our will, it is our parents who initially decide for us and whether or not we adapt the same up to the moment that we die, what they have instilled have become a part of us that we cannot easily erase at our every whim. It creates a sense of belongingness and knowing that you are part of something, a tradition that extends far beyond yourself. This also paves the way for interaction which is especially meaningful

Crime control vs. Due Process Essay Example for Free

Crime control vs. Due Process Essay The criminal justice system in the United States has over time and in recent times been developed in two model systems. The crime control model and due process model. The two systems have been adopted over time to deal with the spiraling rate of crime. On the one hand conflict and crime control model which other commentators have referred as social reality crime tend to associate the crime on how it is affected by the dynamics that mould the society’s social, economic and political structure. The crime control model works on the assumption that the criminal law as enacted by parliament and enforced by the police and prosecutors can control crime. This model looks to the legislature as opposed to the courts as its validating authority and accepts extensive reliance that legislatures place on the criminal sanction. (The new law victim’s rights, Kent Roach). The crime control policy otherwise termed by Malcolm M Feeley and Jonathan Simon as a new concept in their article ‘The new penology’ is neither about punishing nor about rehabilitating individuals. The system is about identifying and managing unruly groups. On the other hand consensus and due process model describes the values that courts have embraced in many of their decisions. The model’s main purpose is protection of rights of citizens. Due process is like an obstacle course, you have to keep going through the legal obstacle to ensure in the end you convict the right person. In crime control model the law enforcement possesses the investigative powers to arrest people for questioning, and this is often the fastest way by which to establish the suspect is factually guilty. This model performs the role of getting the criminal off the street and protects the innocent. The law enforcement leads in this role. In due process model, law enforcement has little role to play. The bulk is performed by the prosecution which lays the crime committed by the offender before the court. The court’s role is to find the guilt of the offender and ensuring that the offender’s rights are safeguarded. In controlling crime, the correctional facilities have an important role to play, the kind of rehabilitating an offender who is released into the society matters a lot. The correction can also play a significant role where offenders who are due to be released are not reformed enough to be sent to the unsuspecting members of the public. Malco M. Feeley Jonathan in their new penology document focuses on what role correction can perform. They dwell more on incapacitation which they say promises to reduce the efforts of crime in society not by altering either offender or social context but by rearranging the distribution of offender in the society. If the prison can nothing else, the incapacitation theory hold says that, it can detain offender for a time and thus delay their resumption of criminal activity. If such delay is sustained for enough time and enough offenders, siginificant aggregate effects in crime can take place although individual destinies are only marginally altered. The Federal application of the crime control has been traditionally directed at problems transcending state boundaries, with maintaining law and order in are subject exclusively to federal jurisdiction or national concern. The 107th congress did enhance authorities of the department of justice (DOJ) and in specific the Federal Bureau of Investigation in dealing with homeland security and anti-terrorism problems which arose from the September 11, 2001 attacks. Included are expanded federal law enforcement authority in such areas as wiretapping and related investigative tool to aid law enforcement official in the war on terrorism e. g. USA Patriot Act. (Jo Anne O Bryant Lis Segheli, congressional research Service update September 11,2002) Congress has been extending federal jurisdiction over crime to areas once considered to be within state and local jurisdiction (e. g. juvenile justice and gun control) and enlarging federal support of state and local efforts to combat crime over last two decades. In general, the federal is trying to adopt crime control by pre-emptively dealing with measures which can enable prevention of crime in a bid to control. In contrast states have areas which they dwell on and some are left to the jurisdiction of the federal government or agencies. For example terrorism laws are federal laws are congress has come up with laws dealing with terrorism laws and also ways of controlling and safeguarding the boundaries of United States. The local or state jurisdiction has crime control measures within the sphere which does not overstep the mandate of federal agencies. Matters to do with dues process are both for the state and federal. Due process has been a process of the courts and the courts always will endeavor to defend their mandate of making laws and at the same time protecting existing one. The state and the federal have no option when the courts tend to hold opinion which they legally support. The crime control policy is preemptive in nature. That is to say it seeks to have prevention done in order to check the rate of crime in society. To some extent it is a perfect system to deal with a rate of crime that never comes down. Crime control policy does not have any adverse effect in the society’s social, economic state. While on the other hand due process being a court initiated process ensures that the rights are not violated by law enforcement. Due process is offender minded whereas crime control is society minded. It is relatively easier to ascertain the performance of crime control policy in comparison with due process. The rate of crime in society may fall relatively if the emphasis is laid crime. Opinion from the law enforcement can also be sought in evaluating their performance and what they think about the two policies. The courts also may provide vital information with regard to due process because they can make the best judgment than law enforcement. Officials in correctional facilities can also provide vital information on the crime control model as they play a large part in implantation of some recommendations. 1. The new law victim’s rights, Kent Roach. 2. The new penology,Malcom M. Feeley Jonathan Simon 3. Congressional Research Service update sept. 11,2002 ,Jo Anne O Bryant Lisa Segheli

Compare and Contrast Lamb to the Slaughter and The Speckled Band Essay

Compare and Contrast Lamb to the Slaughter and The Speckled Band ‘Lamb to the Slaughter’ and ‘The Speckled Band’ are both written is separate eras and cultures, and these differences are reflected in the way the authors use language, structure and moral techniques in their stories. How ever, there are some similarities in these stories as both are of the thriller genre. The story ‘Lamb to the Slaughter’ is about a husband and a wife whose relationship comes to a sudden halt. The sweet innocent wife Mary Maloney kills Mr. Maloney due to that he wants to divorce her. Mary becomes very shocked and confused and kills Mr. Mahoney with a Leg of Lamb. Mary produces an act to hide herself from the murder. The police do not realise this and she gets away. The story ‘The Speckled Band’ is not very different to ‘Lamb to the Slaughter’ but it has some differences. The story is about a Detective who finds himself and his partner trying to work out a case of murder. Dr. Roylott is the person who is suspected of being the guilty one but in the end he gets killed himself. ‘The Speckled Band’ is set in Victorian England. This was a time when England was a terrible place to live. Crime was high in the slums of London but when the Sherlock Holmes stories began to appear attitude started to change. Sherlock Holmes became the perfect detective as he cracked every case and always defeated evil. The setting of the stories reinforces 19th Century morality. The murder it self is set in an old mansion in the countryside â€Å"A picture of ruin†. ‘Lamb to the Slaughter’ however is portrayed as being set in modern Ireland in an ordinary house with an ordinary couple. The names of the couple help us to predict where the couple ar... ...s. The second plot twist is at the end, where the detectives eat the murder weapon. This is all due to these language techniques. ===================================================================== The moral message in ‘The Speckled Band’ is of an old 19th Century storyline ‘Good always wins over evil’. In contrast to ‘Lambs to the Slaughter’ the moral message is very different. ‘Lambs to the Slaughter’ however uses a Modern Moral code. ‘Crime does pay’ in ‘Lambs to the Slaughter’. However. It is clear that ‘The Speckled Band reinforces 19th Century morality ‘crime doesn’t pay’. ====================================================================== In comparison the stories use very different language techniques, moral code and settings. This helps the stories have different storylines and endings due to them being written in very different times.

Best Sample Size for Dissertations

Survey is now a basic tool in social sciences and in some fields of specialization which reliance is from the sampling procedures. Little or unacceptable knowledge will be gained if the sample size is poorly designed and executed: no matter how good the questions are and no matter how impressive the analysis is (Kalton, 1987, p. 4). The important question of how to determine the size of the sample is vital for estimating the parameters (Singh and Chaudhary, 1986, p. 38). Our common sense would suggest that a large sample size will be better than a small one since an increase in sample size will decrease the sampling error. This is not always the case because, for example, having a large sample size with a sampling frame with very similar types of respondents will just be a waste of time. Determining the best sample size will thus depend on the compromise of practical constraints (i. e. money, time, ethical issues) and theoretical considerations. For the simplicity of analysis, given that there are no practical constraints, the following are the rule of thumb: 1. ) If the population is about 50 or less, it is best to sample the whole population; 2. If you have to sample a population of 50 or more, then try to sample around 30 and 3. ) If you will be using stratified sampling, aim to have at least five sampling units from each stratum or category (White, 2002, p. 65-66). With the load of work dissertation requires researchers can not help but to consider the practical constraints. The credibility of the study can thus be sacrificed so it must be the goal of the researcher to find ways to maintain credibi lity while considering constraints. Researcher bias is another issue that may hinder the determination and use of sample size because unless it is a purposive sampling, samples should represent the whole population as much as possible. For example, a bias researcher will decide a sample size that is easy for him to gather and that is fit for his/her desired results. There can never be a perfect or right sample size but there is always a best sample size depending on the nature of your study and on the given population.

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Manual Inventory Management

Inventory management is an integral part of businesses. There are manual and automated management systems each one having its own advantages and disadvantages. Problems with manual system need to be analyzed, and take steps to consider to see if an automated system is more feasible for the business. The business process assessment needs to be in the equation as well as software capabilities and hardware needs. INVENTORY MANAGEMENT Most businesses, regardless of their size, small or large, carry inventory. The inventory can be from raw material to finished products, but it needs to be counted and tracked manually or with an automated system. It can be labor intensive to run by having to constantly monitor the inventory every time a sale takes place to ensure that stocking levels are appropriate. Prone to human errors is another disadvantage of the manual inventory system. The manual inventory system relies on people s efficiency to record the sale in a timely manner and to count the items correctly to avoid increasing inventory levels and its carrying costs, or not having enough product on hand to fulfill an order.
